Let Me Go...

You said you didn't want to hurt me
You said you didn't know
If I was the one for you
The dream girl that you're looking for.

I listened to you as you vividly described her
This young angel of your dreams
With laughing eyes and bubbly personality
She is all that matters when you look at her.

Suddenly I felt my body shrinking
I was getting smaller and smaller
Until I was nothing more than a shadow
A placeholder until she steps into light.

I carry with me what last dignity I still have
Before I completely shrunk into nothingness
I wish you luck in finding your angel
But please... first please let me go.
